July 23, 2013 (VILLANOVA, Pa.) - The Philadelphia Freedoms were defeated tonight by the Boston Lobsters, 22-18, at the Pavilion at Villanova.

Philadelphia Freedoms' Sam Groth, record holder for fastest serve, jumpstarted the evening with a win over the Boston Lobsters' Amir Weintraub, 5-2 during men's singles.

The women's doubles set was next with Jill Craybas and Katalin Marosi of the Boston Lobsters winning over Brooke Austin and Sachia Vickery of the Philadelphia Freedoms, 5-2.

Boston Lobsters saw another victory during the mixed doubles set when Eric Butorac and Katalin Marosi of the Lobsters beat Sachia Vickery and Sam Groth of the Freedoms, 5-4.

During the women's singles set, Philadelphia Freedoms' Sachia Vickery put up a good fight against Lobsters' Jill Craybas, but lost the set to the Lobsters, 5-3.

An electrifying men's doubles set featured intense volleys and a tiebreaker to close the set. The Boston Lobsters' Amir Weintraub and Eric Butorac ended the match with a victory against the Philadelphia Freedoms' Jordan Kerr and Sam Groth, 5-4.

The Freedoms' next match is Wednesday, July 24 against New York Sportimes, featuring John McEnroe, at the Pavilion at Villanova University.
