"Move Your Opponent Before Your Opponent Moves You"
When you are playing a singles match against someone your level, take control of the court.
Hit deep, penetrating shots and deliberate angles to move your opponent at least two steps to each ball whenever possible.
Keep your opponent off balance and on the run and use your best shot (e.g. back hand down the line) to open up the court then go to the opposite side or behind him. He will eventually miss or you will open up the court enabling you to hit a winner.
Remember, move your opponent before he moves you!
