Philadelphia Freedoms to host Meet & Greet with Anna Kournikova
 
King of Prussia, Pa. (June 25, 2009) 
The Philadelphia Freedoms will host an exclusive "Meet & Greet" with tennis superstar Anna Kournikova at Morton's Steakhouse at the King of Prussia Mall on July 6 at 6 p.m.  Internationally recognized for her top-ten tennis career and her interests in fashion, beauty, health, and fitness, Kournikova is in town to play for the St. Louis Aces in that evening's World TeamTennis match against the Freedoms at the King of Prussia Mall.
Tickets for the Anna Kournikova "Meet & Greet" are $100 and include one complimentary drink, bar bites and a reserved ticket for that evening's Philadelphia Freedoms match.  Tickets are limited.

Born in Moscow, Kournikova became a tennis phenomenon as a pre-teen, relocating to Florida at age 10 to train under renowned coach, Nick Bollettieri.  Her career soon became one of "firsts" Ð the youngest player to win a Fed Cup match and the winner of the prestigious Orange Bowl (18 & under) Juniors.  She turned pro in 1995 and shortly thereafter received the WTA's Newcomer of the Year Award.
 
Kournikova's singles career includes wins over some of the game's greatest players  Steffi Graf, Lindsay Davenport, Martina Hingis, Jennifer Capriati, and Monica Seles.  She has been ranked as high as No. 8 in the world in singles and No. 1 in doubles.  Kournikova won two Grand Slams doubles championships at the Australian Open, both with Martina Hingis.  This is the seventh WTT season for Kournikova who is also a spokesperson for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. 
 
The 2009 Philadelphia Freedoms season will feature the greatest lineup of tennis stars ever seen in Philadelphia  Andre Agassi, Venus Williams, Serena Williams, John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova, Kim Clijsters, and Anna Kournikova  each appearing during one home match in July.
 
The Freedoms will play seven home matches at the 3,000 seat Freedoms Stadium at the King of Prussia Mall.  All events will feature world-class tennis in an innovative, fast-paced World TeamTennis format.  Each evening will include exciting Block Parties produced by Comcast Spectacor and featuring USTA Quick Start Tennis, live music, inflatables, mascots, kids' games, prizes, food, and much more.
